UCSF School of Medicine raises $11,287 in
San Francisco AIDS Walk event
The UCSF School of Medicine team recently participated in the annual San Francisco AIDS Walk fund raising event on July 20, 2008.
For UCSF’s part, nine teams that included the School of Medicine comprising some 200 walkers and those who supported them raised more than $38,000 for research and treatment in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
The total raised by organizations and individuals from around the San Francisco Bay Area was just shy of the record $4.6 million raised at the annual trek last year.
In their fund raising efforts, the School of Medicine team was able to raise $11,287.00 for the cause. Congratulations to all who participated and who helped donate for this worthy cause.
