Our topic was local soda policy. Dr. Jeff Ritterman, a Richmond City Councilmember,discussed his city's experience in trying to pass one of the nation's first soda taxes in the November election. Following Dr. Ritterman's talk, we featured a panel of speakers who provided clinical, community, and policy perspectives regarding the implications of soda policy.
